29 Weeks

Only 77 more days to go! So here is my picture from today. I ordered these shorts from Old Navy a while ago and it was finally warm enough to wear them today. We actually had record setting temperatures today - it reached 89 degrees here in Long Beach. Too bad we don't have air conditioning. Thank goodness for fans!
Here is Pat's picture from last week. He's gotten a little smaller, don't you think? I bought him this outfit at Target back when I was allowed to leave the house.
I bought this bassinet at a kids' recycle outlet for $35. I actually like it better than all the ones I'd seen at the stores. The fabric around it snaps off so we'll just wash it all first. When we went to Babies R Us to register we bought our stroller and car seat. I had a coupon and we wanted to make sure that we had it ahead of time. I love it! It's very me.
So here are my projects for my first week at home: We were given this swing and I didn't really like the colors of the cover that was on it so I made this one.
These burp cloths may look familiar to some of you. I guess that's it for now. Have a great week!

These Are Our Eggs!

Last night Rebecca and Jaime came over and dyed Easter Eggs with us. I hadn't done that in so long. We had fun though. It's been quite a year: first gingerbread houses now this. I don't think Pat has ever had this much fun in his life! Here is the before picture of our eggs.
Pat's purple footbal egg.
See Pat, it is fun to dye eggs.
Jaime made a Dodger egg and I just couldn't allow that in our house so I had to make an Angel egg.
Here is the finished product.
Thanks Rebecca and Jaime for coming over and giving me something different to do!

An Update for Everyone

So here's what has been going on around here. I had some spotting again last week and also on Sunday night. I went to the doctor on Monday and she told me she wants me to go on bedrest for the next two weeks. She said this has been going on for too long now. I don't actually have to stay in bed all day, but she wants me to stay home and not go anywhere. She also did a fetal fibronectin test to check for my risk of preterm labor. I got the results this morning and they came back negative so that was a relief to all of us. We just aren't quite ready for Tyler to come yet. I told him he needs to wait AT LEAST two more months. That puts me at 37 1/2 weeks. We'll see how good he is at listening to his mother.

I have a feeling I'm going to be getting some serious cabin fever. Today is only day two and I'm already wondering what in the world I'm going to do. So far I've been doing lots of Sudoku, knitting, crocheting, and watching HGTV. You'll have to wait and see what kinds of projects I come up with. I'll be able to do a little work from home, but it won't be too much. I go back to the doctor on the first and we'll see what she says then. Until then I hope Pat is looking forward to keeping me company every minute he's home!

My Wonderful Husband

This post is dedicated to my wonderful, loving husband, Patrick. He was feeling a little left out that he hasn't been on the blog very much. He has been such a big help to me since I've been pregnant and not able to do much. He's always doing the dishes for me and since I can't lift more than ten pounds, I can't do the laundry anymore (it's quite a little walk to do the laundry). He wanted me to tell everyone how he has been preparing to be a dad. He's been volunteering as a coach for a little league team with one of his customers from work. They had a tournament a couple of weekends ago and their team came in first. They even got medals and everything. The boys thought it would be fun to pour ice water on him...I'm sure he loved that! He's really hoping that Tyler likes sports so they can do some male bonding. He will have quite a few to choose from if he wants his dad's help....baseball, basketball, football. He's pretty much good at anything. I am not athletic AT ALL, so I hope he gets that from Pat. We have a while until that becomes an issue though.
Here's Pat and Eddie having a good time. Eddie's not a big fan of having his picture taken. He loves Pat though.
Isn't he handsome?
I got this little onesie as a gift yesterday at work and I thought it would go well with this post.
Here is Pat's pregnancy photo...He's probably not going to be very happy that I put this on here. Oh well, it's all in good fun!
I love you!

26 Weeks

I can't believe I actually made it to my third trimester already! The second trimester flew by. I'm pretty sure the last three months are going to go by pretty slowly.

Here is my picture from Sunday. Everyone seems to want to see how fat I'm getting. I went to the doctor on Friday and she told me that our baby is getting very big. Just what I wanted to hear! I just hope he doesn't get too big...we still have three months to go. Tyler is moving around a lot these days. We can actually see him moving now. It's just so crazy to think about what he's going to be like. We can't wait.
I'm having a pretty hard time sleeping these days and I hope that soon my body will get used to it. I know it's only going to get worse from here. Sunday night I actually woke up 10 times! I was feeling pretty good this morning knowing that I only got up four times last night. I have so many pillows that pretty soon Pat is going to end up sleeping on the floor! Poor Daddy!! Serves him right for all of that snoring he's doing while I'm trying to get some sleep. I still love him though.
