Sweet Little Kaylee

We absolutely adore our cute little neice Kaylee. She's so much fun and she loves Tyler. Sometimes she has to show him who's the boss though. I know they will have a blast together once Tyler gets a little older and can play with her. He already loves her. Yesterday we went to Quiznos and Tyler was in his car seat on the floor next to Kaylee's high chair. He was just looking up at her talking and smiling away. Who knows what he was saying! (Maybe Kaylee understood him though).

I knit this cute little shirt for Kaylee. I thought I should put my skills to better use than just making scarves and blankets.

It looked pretty cute on her. Believe it or not, she wasn't in the best of moods that day! Just the cutest little cousins EVER! They both seem to be enjoying themselves. She loves playing with Tyler's bouncer. Isn't she sweet?

We love you Kaylee!!!

The Cutest Baby in the World!!!

Okay, so maybe we're a little biased, but we think Tyler is absolutely the cutest baby in the whole world! He is so much fun and we love him more than anything. He's such a good baby now too. I never thought I would say that, but he's almost always happy. There's really no middle ground - either he's really happy or really mad.
This is probably going to be a long post becasue a lot has happened in the past few weeks. Since my last post Tyler got a cold that resulted in him getting his first ear infection. It was so sad. It was awful knowing that he was in that much pain and there was nothing we could do about it. He went on his first dose of amoxicillin but unfortunately that did not get rid of it so he had to go on a second stronger antibiotic. Thankfully after four days of that his ear was back to normal. Unfortunately he was still screaming and tugging on his ears sometimes. The doctor said it is probably teething. SCARY!!! I'm definitely not ready for that yet. I posponed his four month appointment because I didn't want him to get his shots while he was still fighting an infection. So today was the day. He weighed in at an amazing 17 pounds exactly and is 26 inches long. He falls in the 90th percentile for both height and weight. What a big boy. He's going to pass me up before I know it.

These days I'm in the process of trying to get little Tyler on a schedule. I just want to know when he's going to eat or sleep ahead of time so that way I can make plans instead of just waiting for him to wake up or want to eat. He's getting to be pretty good at sleeping now. We usually wake up somewhere around 6:00 or 6:30. Today I actually woke up before him. That was a little weird for me to not wake up to a screaming baby in the other room. I was able to make my bed and eat my cereal by myself. Then I went to go wake him up at 7:00 and there he was wide awake with a huge smile on his face.

Sorry for so much writing...now on to the more exciting things - pictures!!

Tyler was having a lot of fun talking to his monkey.

This was a new toy we brought out for Tyler. He wasn't quite sure what to think about it the first couple of days, but now he likes it a little more.

Isn't that the cutest little face you've ever seen? And look at those BLUE eyes.

I couldn't resist. Church wore him out!

Mommy, what are you looking at? They're just rolls!

Can you believe this hat said size Newborn?

We finally got to put Tyler in the jumper...I don't think he quite knows what to do in it. He really does have arms in there somewhere!

It was way too hot to wear clothes that day!

Sorry Tyler, that's not a phone.

Need I say more? I think the outfit speaks enough for itself.

Last Saturday it was really cool outside and we actually had some rain showers so Tyler got all bundled up for the first time. I think he liked it. I know I did...we've had enough heat lately. I'm ready for some cooler weather.

This is what Tyler did during conference on Sunday. I think he got a lot out of it. :)

I love to see this huge smile! Lately it seems to be pretty slobbery.

These pictures show how big Tyler is and how small he is too.

What a cute hat!

I had to take this picture! Tyler loves his pacifier and he always puts his thumb inside it and this morning his mouth opened while he was sleeping and it fell out and resulted in this cute sight!

I know this seemed like a lot of pictures, but it really wasn't compared to the couple hundred that I had to chose from since my last post!

Sorry!

I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted. Things have been pretty busy around here the past month and a half. We moved at the beginning of August and I've been so crazy busy between the unpacking, taking care of Tyler and trying to work. Pat & I had our 3rd anniversary this week and we went out to Claim Jumper tonight to celebrate. It was our first time out just the two of us since Tyler was born. Thanks Grandma for babysitting! Here are some pictures of our little tank of a baby. When he went to his two month appointment he was 13 pounds 8 ounces and 24" long. He was in the 97th percentile for his weight & the 75th for his height! I weighed him at home yesterday with me and he was already 16 pounds! He goes to the doctor in two weeks so we'll have to wait for the official number then.

I have some more pictures I wanted to post, but the computer wouldn't turn them for me. Every time I rotated them they just stayed sideways. I'll have to try again another day.

Memories

I got this from Kimberley's blog:
One Memory....
1. Leave one memory that you and I had together, as a comment on my blog. Anything goes.
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll check to see if you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.
Your memory can be about me, Pat, or both of us.

Our Past Few Weeks

Sorry I've been such a slaker the past few weeks but I do have an excuse - his name is Tyler. This is probably going to be a pretty long post so I can explain. Let me just say that this little boy has some very strong lungs. He would cry pretty much all night long every night. The longest he would sleep was about two and a half hours. Then he would be awake for about two more hours. We were exhausted and not getting ANY rest. We were still having some issues with nursing (he wouldn't eat for much longer than 10 minutes total). Things were getting progressively worse and last weekend was the absolute worst. We were actually taking turns sleeping on the floor in the living room so the other could sleep for a couple of hours. Then Tyler started screaming every time I would feed him after a minute or two and wouldn't eat anymore. I talked to the doctor and she said it sounded like he has colic and we just have to deal with it for a couple more months. I started doing some research and I read that craniosacral therapy can sometimes work in helping with colic. The massage therapist at the salon I used to work at does that so I called to see if she worked on babies. She said yes so I took him in on Tuesday to see her because I was willing to try anything. I figured it couldn't hurt. It was really weird and I don't actually know what she did, BUT IT WORKED!! He's been much better this whole week and he actually sleeps for about four to five hours every night. He actually smiles now and is such a happy baby.

Here are some pictures of the past few weeks.

We had Tyler blessed two weeks ago. I forgot to take a close up of just him, but I think my mom took one.

Tyler and Kaylee both have the same outfit so we had to take a picture of the two of them together. I think Kaylee likes her little cousin. She's always wanting to play with him.
Look how chubby our little guy is. I had him weighed Monday and he was 12 pounds 10 ounces. What a chunk! His belly is hanging over his diaper.

Today Pat was wearing a 49ers shirt so I decided that we should all wear something 49ers and take a family photo.

We just LOVED this picture and had to share it with you.
